Recorded under a train bridge in Brooklyn, NY E.W. Harris's "A Waste of Water and Time" is a rare album. Between the heartfelt arrangements, fantastical lyrics, experimental flourishes, and raw intimacy of this record are the ever pervasive sounds of a city the artist feels that he neither understands nor belongs.

This latest re-release is now available, digitally remastered in high definition for your listening enjoyment and features performances from Niall Connolly, Casey Black, Colm McAuliffe, and Isaiah Weiss.

For bonus tracks and special performances from the original recording physical copies are still available, for order here on bandcamp, but supplies are limited.

Stars 04:44
People of the Earth I have a story I would really love to tell, Before I crash this ship into your sun, and blow you all to hell. When I was just a boy I used to dream about, Your lonely yellow star, and listen to your ancient radios, their music blazin' from afar But how did I grow up to find, my finger on the trigger of a gun? Aimed at the cradle of my dreams? I could always run, but someone else would come, and they would never know just what it means. So you and me, we'll all become a star, You and me, we're all becoming stars, and somebody someday, a million years away, will dream of us much better than we are. Well on my world we ain't got words for anger, and damn sure none for love. It crystallized the moment, when I went and shed another creature's blood. They sent me to an asteroid, to mine it all, and then when I was done. They locked me in this capsule and they sent me here, to end what I'd begun And that's how I grew up to find my finger, on the trigger of a gun, aimed at the cradle of my dreams. I could always run, but someone else would come, and they would never know just what it means. Now you and me, we'll all become a star, You and me, we're all becoming stars, and somebody someday, a million years away, will dream of us much better than we are. It's sad to think the flames we light, they're never who we are, but you and me, we'll all become, a star

I didn't come in here, looking for news, I just came back in search of my magnetic shoes, 'cause I'm workin' in the vacuum today. I didn't see on the holo at 9, That they'd finally ruputured the fabric of time, but you told me anyway. I didn't notice, It's just hard to care, When you're already late, and the foreman is there, and you know he'll dock your pay. Then everything changed, Took aim at the sky, And we all became, Flint scrap-shards of life. and Time holds the sinew, That bends back the bow, and still nobody knows, where the arrow goes. Walked out of my house, in the middle of town. Saw a crowd there of people, stumblin' around. They were knee-buckle falling, weeping, and crying aloud. Then I looked up, to the inky black sky, and a sickening ripple there, tore at my eye, like a rip in a holy shroud. Then for a moment, the world went bright and I felt the caress of a tendril of light. Its voice had a trembling sound. It said "what have you done? Took aim at the sky, now we've all become, flint scrap-shards of life." and Time holds the sinew, That bends back the bow, and still nobody knows, where the arrow goes. When I woke up I had nothing in mind, and I looked all around, there was nothing to find, 'cause emptiness ain't something you can see. Then I imagined a scene that I'd seen, in an old picture postcard that looked like a dream, and the wind shook the cyprus trees. When one thing's beginning, another thing ends, and Sometimes when you're lonely, you have to make friends, so I made, mine, just, like, me. Told them "when we're all done, we'll aim at the sky, then we'll all become, flint scrap-shards of life. And Love is the sinew, that bends back the bow, yet still nobody knows, still nobody knows, tell me if you know, where the arrow goes.

about

Begin by mixing 3 parts space and 1 part folk vigorously in a coffee can with a either a piece of conduit or a stick (whichever is available)
Continue this until the mix begins to take on a doughy consistency
Allow dough to rest in the open air for approx. 4 years
In the interim, begin to prepare the filling
The first step is to make the base by combining equal parts pretension and conceit
While continually stirring, reduce this mixture on low heat for about 1-2 std. years
When reduction has begun we can then add our superfluous knowledge, our overstuffed expectations, and some self aggrandizement (self loathing will do if not available)
Add bitterness to taste
When The filling has reduced to an agreeable thickness and the music has rested we can begin to combine them
Line any pie or cake pan with the music (being sure to money the pan of course)
Add filling
Bake at 451 degrees for twenty minutes
and Voila "A Waste of Water and Time"
