about

A version of Waxman, featuring the Pulp Fantasy Choir

lyrics

My skin is slick, and tough,
Just like a killer whale,
My arms are strong, enough,
To break brittle rocks like shale
My eyes are buttons, and wires,
Affixed to my head with nails,
My feet are old truck tires
My clothes are all stitched from sails

Though I'm made of wax and string,
and you may find me frightening
and wonder how it is that I'm alive
I don't know but I have seen,
In sunlight, smoke, and gasoline,
I've felt the warmth of love turn into fire
and it keeps burnin', burning me inside.

Someday I would like to address the choir,
that taught all my favorite birds.
I'd tell them one lesson is all I'd require,
'Cause I already learned the words,
But who cares what some animate jetsam
desires

Scene goes to dark
Scene goes to dark

Well I know that I don't wanna rust,
and blow slowly away as a thick ruddy dust,
but they say its an illness that's going around,
so I smile like a hangman as I slip out of town,
in the dark,
alone in the dark,
in the dark,
at home in the dark

And though I'm made of wax and string,
and you may find me frightening,
and wonder how it is that I'm alive
Well I don't know but I have seen,
In sunlight smoke and gasoline,
I've felt the warmth of love turn into fire.

And it's still burnin' burnin' me inside

It's still burning me inside
